I've spent the last two days making 10 different miniature paintings. Most of them are little portraits of quirky little characters. I am finally opening an Etsy store this summer and these will be in my shop. Although, part of me really wants to put them all in the kids' bedroom as a group. My daughter loves them and wants to keep them, which hopefully means other kids would want one in their room, too!
I took this pic with my phone while I was painting all the canvases and composite boards with gesso. I like how this shows the process each little painting goes through.
Here's some of the (almost) finished little guys.
And just to show what else I've done lately, here is an acrylic painting I did based on a photograph my mother in law took while at the Buddhist monastery on Maui, Hawaii. She loved it, and so did I! It was so fun to bring this to life. This one wasn't so miniature, it was something like 22 inches by 18 inches.
I'm linking up with Tatertots & Jello
