And, now onto the last week.

I have never worked so hard in my life.

I have spent every day, for the past week, cleaning, moving, packing, more cleaning, priming, Spackle-ing, sanding, texturizing, painting and drinking a ton of coffee.

We've worked 8-12 hour days every day.  It was a huge job to get that place cleared out and cleaned out.  Way bigger than I anticipated.  But the process has been so rewarding and the house is starting to come together. So far, the bedrooms are the most finished.  They are clean, painted completely, and awaiting carpet installation.

We're also putting in laminate ourselves (with the help of my dad, the flooring expert) in the hallway and dining room.  We chose a cool, slate- looking vinyl for the kitchen and mud room/pantry.  Most of the house will be light grey, and the kitchen is light blue.  The kitchen is original 1950's, so we are keeping everything and trying to highlight the vintage qualities.

Our bedroom is cathedral grey, and fairly dark grey that I just love.  The kids' room was painted ORANGE. That's right: ORANGE.  I know...you hate it, right?  Nobody can believe I painted a room orange.  But, it looks awesome and it's a really pretty, happy shade of orange.

I am tired.  I am stressed.  I miss my kids, who have been staying with their grandmothers during the day.  I'm stressed about school.  And Thanksgiving.  And packing up the apartment after Thanksgiving.  BUT, I am hopeful.  And excited.  And thankful.
