The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

The Good:
Baby smiles and laughs!
Liam reaching for our faces and toys.
Maggie is hilarious, telling jokes and playing pretend.
Lots of super yummy and healthy homemade meals.
Dinner and lunch dates with friends!
My mom came over to help me clean my entire house.
I've been doing some workout DVD's, I feel great!
My hair is now super long and so pretty.
My skin has finally (!) returned to normal after pregnancy.
We got an awesome new computer.
I am going to Napa with my sister in March for one night. We are both leaving our little guys behind with their dads. We're are going to get pedicures, go out to lunch and dinner, go wine tasting, shop and sleep through the night without interruption.
Liam had his two month well baby appointment last week and he weighed 11 lbs, 5 oz. and was 22 inches long. He has gained 3 pounds and 3 inches since he was born.

The Bad:
I am getting a little stir crazy from being inside this whole winter. We do get out a lot, but I think I'm bored of all the inside things to do here.
I am seriously having a hard time with stress eating and eating out of boredom. I think it's one of the downfalls of being a stay at home mom. Food, everywhere!
Even though my skin is back to "normal", I still am dealing with acne and redness.
I am in love with ebay. Maybe a little too much in love. I had to write my first negative feedback and I kinda loved bashing the person who screwed me over.
I feel like I am always doing dishes. Always.
Liam got his vaccinations at his appointment and cried real tears for the first time. Broke my heart.
Liam still loves to sleep with me or on me and he is not anywhere near to sleeping through the night alone. Oh, well. It goes by so fast, anyway.

The Ugly:
Two kids screaming as loud as the can at the same time. This is every day, at some point(s).
I still have scars from all the itching from the Cholestasis. It totally embarrasses me, even though they are not very noticeable.
Maggie's classic two year old meltdowns about everything. Everything!
Fighting about housework.
Maggie wakes up every night around three or four and wants to stay up for hours. Yuck.
Stress. Crazy stress sometimes.
Yesterday I realized my toenails were really long. So I trimmed them and I feel way better.

  1. I love these kinds of updates - so fun to read.
I'm with you about the dishes, sista! Always. I think they multiply when no-one is looking and have little baby dishes!
Enjoy your night out with your sis, sounds like bliss.

  2. I love that clipping your toenails helped so much. I was stressed yesterday and plucking my eyebrows made me feel much better. What has happened to us?? Oh right, we're mommies! Dang, I wished me lived closer, we could get together all the time and get away from all that tempting food and stir-craziness, I hear you there!!! And work out together!! Sigh....I miss you!
