I'm Laura. I'm a 30 year old wife and mom. I'm also a full time college student and artist, majoring in Fine Arts. That Kind Of Mom features posts about family and parenthood, plus size fashion, art, photography, food, and finding my unique voice as a mom and artist.
I have two amazing children who crack me up and keep me on my toes. Magdalena is three years old, and Liam is 15 months old. I have been married to my love, Mark, since July 2006 and we have been together for almost eight years. The thing I hear most often from other moms is "you sure have your hands full" and I have to agree with them. Did I mention that I'm tired?
My life is not a fairytale, and I'm no Supermom. I don't live in a huge, gorgeous house and my kids aren't always neat and well-behaved. I fail everyday in some way. But, I'm okay with being a work in progress. I hope you enjoy reading about what life is like as a very busy mom who's also actively chasing her own dreams.
